Iran has confirmed the death of another IRGC general as a result of Israeli strikes.


Israel has eliminated the head of the Palestinian department of the special forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Said Izadi, in a strike on an apartment in the Iranian province of Qom. This was reported by the IRNA news agency on June 26.
"We express our condolences in connection with the martyrdom of Major General of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Mohammad Saeed Izadi," the Telegram channel of the publication says.
On June 21, the Reuters news agency, citing Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, reported that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had eliminated Izadi. It was noted that the Major General was the head of the Palestinian Corps of the IRGC's foreign unit.
On the same day, the IDF reported that Israel had launched strikes in Lebanon to kill two members of the Shiite Hezbollah movement. It was clarified that the commander of the Radwan detachment and a radical from the Hezbollah observation detachment were eliminated.
