The monorail in the north of Moscow will complete its work on June 28.

In place of the monorail, which will cease operation on June 28 at 8:00 a.m., Russia's first year-round park at altitude will appear. This was reported on June 26 in the Telegram channel of the Moscow Department of Transport.

"The reconstruction of the Moscow monorail into a modern green park will begin on June 28," the publication says.

As the Newspaper adds.Ru", the monorail has stopped fulfilling its full function. During the examination, experts revealed that it needs major repairs. However, no new trains are being produced, there are no analogues, and the upgrade costs 20 billion rubles. At the same time, the facility remains unprofitable.

According to the press service of the Metropolitan Department of Transport, more than 71% of Muscovites voted for the construction of an urban space on the site of the monorail. The new project will connect 5 districts at once, where 300 thousand people live.

It is reported that part of the overpass — from the Exhibition Center station to the monorail depot — will be dismantled. The park is scheduled to open in 2027.

Earlier, on May 29, it was reported about the test launch of a new electric bus of an especially large class "KamAZ-6292". It was specified that the transport will be tested in different weather conditions, experts will evaluate the technical characteristics, driving performance and comfort for passengers.
