The Ministry of Regional Security of the Murmansk Region will receive 14.1 million rubles for quadrocopters and supplies for them. The decree was signed by the head of the region, the Bi-Port news agency reported on Thursday, June 26.

The devices will be purchased as part of the Public Safety program. The procurement and conclusion of state contracts will be provided by the regional Office for GOCH and PB.

In May, the agency received more than 21.2 million rubles for anti-drone equipment. Prior to that, the government of the Murmansk Region allocated another 71.4 million rubles for drone detectors and blockers.

Earlier in June, Izvestia reported that future infantry officers would begin learning how to operate drone units for the first time. The corresponding faculty will open in 2025 at the Moscow Higher Combined Arms Command School.
