In Ukraine, Kiev announced plans to suspend payments on a loan from China

The Ukrainian authorities intend to suspend payments to the Export-Import Bank of China on a loan issued by the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine (GPZKU). This was announced on June 26 by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Yaroslav Zheleznyak, who published a draft of amendments to the state budget.
"The Cabinet of Ministers will ask the Parliament to grant it the right to temporarily stop payments on this loan, which is due in 2030," the document says, published on the deputy's Telegram channel.
According to the Government of Ukraine, this way Kiev will be able to try to get the bank to provide more favorable conditions for payments.
On June 23, Chinese Ambassador to Moscow Zhang Hanhui told Izvestia that the causes of the Ukrainian crisis are complex. At the same time, according to him, the outcome of the conflict in any case will be peaceful negotiations.
