- The United States has deployed Patriot batteries from Japan and South Korea to the Middle East.

The United States has sent additional batteries of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) to protect American military personnel in the Middle East. This was announced on June 26 by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces Dan Kane.
"In this case, the Patriot calculations were deployed from South Korea and Japan as part of our American forces," he said at a briefing broadcast on the Fox News YouTube channel.
According to him, the targeted batteries have been delivered to the area of responsibility of the US Central Command in the Middle East.
Kane noted that the United States, in repelling an Iranian strike on a military base, resorted to the largest combat use of the Patriot air defense system in the history of the American army. At the time of the attack, there were only two Patriot batteries and approximately 44 American military personnel at the base.
On the same day, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced the deployment of additional forces in the area of responsibility of the US Central Command, including the Middle East. According to him, such measures are aimed at strengthening the defensive position of the United States in the region.
