Putin assigned the names of the "guards" to two regiments and a brigade of the Russian Armed Forces

Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded honorary titles of "guards" to two regiments and a brigade of the Armed Forces of Russia. The relevant decrees were published on June 26 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

"For the mass heroism and bravery, fortitude and courage shown by the brigade's personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, <...> to assign the honorary name Guards to the 17th separate electronic Warfare brigade," one of the documents says.
