The real estate forum "Movement" will be discussed at the MAER media facades

The real estate forum "Movement" has opened in Sochi. This year, 591 companies and more than 4,000 people are taking part in it. The news and key statements of the Movement's participants are broadcast throughout Russia, with over 6 million people watching in total. The broadcast was organized by the MAER media holding, which has been a communication partner of the forum for many years.

At the plenary session, Nikita Stasishin, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation, shared statistics: in the first five months of 2025, there was a decrease in the volume of new project launches, which amounted to about 20% across the country. The ministry noted that they are observing a postponement of the commissioning dates for ongoing projects and warned developers.

"We do not support this. We understand the specifics perfectly well, and we understand why you're pushing deadlines. We are well aware that after housing is commissioned, especially in the regions, banks are reluctant to apply for a family mortgage, because there is no longer any project financing and the volume of transactions on houses already commissioned is decreasing. Dear colleagues, we use this platform for communication so that the tree does not turn into a stump. Therefore, please pay close attention to the deadlines for the commissioning of your projects and the fulfillment of obligations to citizens. I'm asking you, I won't ask you anymore," Nikita Stasishin said. But then he talked about the "carrot": the Ministry of Construction is preparing additional non-monetary measures to support developers in terms of taxation.

Owner and CEO Konstantin Mayor wished the participants a successful and productive forum and stressed that attention has become a new currency. Whoever owns it influences the decisions of the buyers. Developers have a variety of tools to stand out in the market and attract buyers.

"Attention! Almost everything depends on attention today. How long do you think it takes for a family to make a decision about buying a property? Modern people respond to 10-12 seconds of content, while young people respond to only 5. After that, attention shifts to something else. Our media holding does not sell real estate. We help industry leaders, professionals, to sell it. To do this, we have created a new media outlet with a reach of 57 million people per month. These are 350 cities, 84 regions, 26 federal and regional mass media," Konstantin Mayor noted.

Attracting partners, both within the industry and from other areas, is one of the trends of the near future, which was described by Ilya Piskulin, founder of the Movement forum.

"Suddenly, we realized that the light didn't converge on the developers. And perhaps this is the perspective for the development of our forum. We are all accredited participants here, [now — editor's note.] we only allow developers. But is there a way out for the industry? We have come to the conclusion that it is not," Ilya Piskulin said. According to him, the forum will be open next year because developers have a request for collaboration and communication with representatives of companies from other industries.

The Forum is a great opportunity to compare notes and find new ideas that will help the construction industry survive difficult times and start thriving again.
