In his statements about Washington's attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities, US President Donald Trump deliberately exaggerated the extent of the damage caused, in fact, the damage was insignificant. This was announced on June 26 by the Iranian Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

"They attacked our nuclear facilities, which, of course, is a violation of international law, but they were unable to do anything significant. The US president exaggerated the truth about what happened. <...> They were unable to achieve their goal," the IRNA news agency quoted the Supreme leader of Iran as saying.

Ayatollah Khamenei added that if the aggression against Iran continues, the country, when it sees fit, can take action against the "important centers" of the United States in the Middle East. Tehran has already attacked one of the US bases in Qatar, and in this case, the American side downplayed the damage caused to it.

"[Iran] responded and dealt a serious blow to America by attacking one of the important American bases in the Al-Udeid area and causing damage. The same people who exaggerated in the previous case are trying to downplay it. They say that nothing happened, although something big happened," Khamenei said.

He added that Trump had called on Iran to surrender in one of his statements. However, this position clearly does not address the issue of uranium enrichment or the nuclear industry. We are talking about Iran's surrender, the country's supreme leader noted.
