An employee's salary increases by almost 20% on average after retraining or advanced training. Such data on June 27 follows from the report of the Higher School of Economics, which is available to Izvestia.

Retraining programs affect the career prospects of citizens, and employers highly value the quality of training and motivation among employees. According to the researchers, according to the results of the training, the employment rate among the participants of the federal project "Employment Promotion" averages 82% during the year.

The most effective educational investments turned out to be for citizens aged 18-39: the salary increase after their studies was almost 55%.

The trend is stronger in industries with a high level of digitalization, as well as in regions with low salaries.

"People intuitively understand that the right educational strategy allows them to be sought out with new competencies, and therefore they willingly go to study. Moreover, those who want to study are the active part of the workforce who understand that just sitting in one place is not a winning way of behaving in life," said Ilya Korshunov, Deputy Director of the HSE Institute of Education.

He added: a longer and healthier life has prepared an objective test. Skills and equipment in the workplace will become obsolete more than once, which means that employees will have to retrain.

According to the study, even retraining in working professions allowed students to occupy high positions upon completion.

"The training program is of particular importance for older people who have extensive professional experience, but need modern skills to increase mobility and involvement in high-performance processes. Thanks to their participation in the program, they remain employed," added Jan Talbatsky, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Labor and Employment.

The program also has a significant effect on the further career development of women returning from maternity leave. The study shows that the participants of the program successfully occupy positions of both the highest and intermediate skill levels, effectively restoring their professional trajectory after a vacation.

On June 18, the press service of the recruitment agency hh.ru It was reported that the average salary offered to Russians in June is 86.8 thousand rubles, but employers are willing to pay two or three times more to specialists in 25 areas. It was noted that employers in Russia offer the highest salaries to IT specialists. For example, DevOps engineers have a median income of 245.5 thousand rubles.
