Chita will be allocated 16 billion rubles for an interregional campus

Chita will receive 16 billion rubles from the federal budget for the construction of the interregional campus. The process will be divided into two stages.

According to Acting Deputy Prime Minister of the regional government Buyanto Batomunkuyev, federal money will be used for the construction of the educational laboratory building and hotel complexes. A sports and recreation complex, a convention and exhibition center, sports facilities, hotels, and a university school will be built with the involvement of extra-budgetary sources, writes ChitaMedia news agency.

Batomunkuyev did not rule out that the project would be implemented by concession. Companies operating in the Trans-Baikal Territory are also planning to allocate funds. So, the Bystra company intends to invest 800 million rubles in the project.

Earlier it was reported that the parliament of the Trans-Baikal Territory will consider a bill to increase the budget. Among other things, it is proposed to spend more than 1.3 billion rubles on the construction of six schools. The project was submitted to Parliament by the governor of the region, Alexander Osipov. Schools will be built under concession in Atamanovka, Zasopka, Darasun, Smolenka, Aginsky and Zabaikalsk.
