- Lavrov pointed to the violation of the nuclear nonproliferation regime due to the actions of Israel and the United States.

The nuclear nonproliferation regime has suffered as a result of the actions of Israel and the United States in the Middle East against Iran. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"Of course, the non—proliferation regime has suffered as a result of the aggressive actions taken by Israel and then the United States, attacking Iran's peaceful nuclear program facilities," he said at a press conference following talks with Lao Foreign Minister Thongsavan Phomvihan.
Lavrov expressed Russia's interest in Iran's further cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The decision of the Iranian parliament to stop such interaction is still only advisory, the Russian Foreign Minister stressed.
In addition, the Foreign Minister expressed concern about Israel's recent statements about the continuation of the operation against Iran in the future. This, according to him, runs counter to the statements of almost all other participants in the process — they are all interested in a political solution to the conflict.
On June 25, Russia's permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, pointed out that the United States and Israel violated the UN and IAEA charters by their actions in Iran. He stressed that the operations of the United States and Israel pose a threat to the authority of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), which guarantees Iran the right to use atomic energy for peaceful purposes, including conducting uranium enrichment activities.
