The court sentenced a photographer from Perm to 16 years in prison for treason


The Perm Regional Court sentenced Grigory Skvortsov, a photographer from Perm, who was found guilty of treason, to 16 years in prison. This was reported on June 26 by the press service of the regional court.
"The Perm Regional Court announced the verdict against a photographer from Perm, Grigory Skvortsov, who was found guilty of committing a crime under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High Treason")," follows from a publication on the Telegram channel.
During the proceedings, law enforcement officers established and proved the facts of high treason. At the same time, Skvortsov did not admit his guilt.
It is specified that the court sentenced the photographer to imprisonment for a period of 16 years to be served in a high-security penal colony, with restriction of liberty for a period of 1 year.
According to the press service, the verdict has not yet entered into force and can be appealed.
On May 6, employees of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in Primorsky Krai stopped the activities of a local resident involved in committing treason in the form of providing assistance to a representative of a foreign state directed against the security of the Russian Federation.
