In Chita, a barrier was installed at the entrance to the Sukhotino ethno-archeopark. The entry restrictions are related to the deaths of three children on the water.
According to the ChitaMedia news agency with reference to the regional Ministry of Culture, the Ingoda shore in the park area is not intended for swimming. However, vacationers with children come there every year. Teenagers often bathe without parental supervision.
Earlier it was reported that on June 21, a 10-year-old boy, along with other children, went swimming on the Ingoda River and drowned. A criminal case has been opened.
In addition, on June 21, a 16-year-old teenager drowned in the Chita municipal district on Lake Arakhlei. On the same day, a 13-year-old boy drowned in the Tungokochen municipal district on the Nercha River.
Earlier, on June 25, it was reported that a 12-year-old girl drowned while swimming in the Razdolnaya River in the Oktyabrsky district of Primorsky Krai. A criminal case has been opened. According to preliminary data, the schoolgirl was swimming in Razdolnaya with her cousin and friend. At some point, she began to drift away, after which the girl disappeared from sight.
