Doctors in Lipetsk sewed severed fingers on a teenager

A teenager with severed fingers was admitted to the emergency room of the regional children's hospital in Lipetsk late in the evening on June 21. He was injured when he climbed over a fence and accidentally caught his palm on a trapezoidal sheet, the press service of the regional Ministry of Health reported on social networks.

Four fingers of the 13-year-old patient's left hand were literally hanging, there were no active movements in them, and bleeding was coming from the wounds. The doctors found out that all the flexor tendons of the fingers were completely damaged.

The operation lasted about four hours, writes GOROD48. Surgeons managed to save all the fingers of the hand: They stopped the bleeding, repaired the tendons, and performed skin grafting.

Now the boy is still in the hospital. He's on the mend, and his fingers are starting to move. The student will undergo a course of rehabilitation and rehabilitation therapy.
