The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed footage of the liberation of the village of Shevchenko in the DPR

Russian military groups of troops "Vostok" liberated the settlement of Shevchenko in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), breaking through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Footage of combat work on June 26 was shown by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The ministry noted that soldiers of the 57th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade had taken control of the checkpoint. Despite the fact that the Ukrainian militants were well entrenched, the stormtroopers were able to gain a foothold in the village.

The Defense Ministry stressed that with the support of artillery and attack drones, the Ukrainian formations were pushed out of the settlement. The published footage shows how the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces set up the Russian flag.

To do this, the drones had to break through the electronic jamming zones.

On June 26, the Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian Armed Forces had liberated the settlements of Shevchenko and Novosergeyevka in the Donetsk People's Republic.
