15 people have been arrested in Armenia as part of a criminal case on an attempt to "seize power." This was reported on June 26 in the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the country.

It is noted that as part of the investigation into the case of "preparations for the seizure of power," a number of searches were conducted, as a result of which flammable objects intended to damage electrical wires were found in the homes of members of the opposition movement "Holy Struggle."

"All petitions submitted to the court for the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention have been satisfied. There are 15 accused in custody," the agency's website says.

On June 25, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that law enforcement agencies had prevented a large-scale plan to seize power. The country's Investigative Committee has accused the leader of the "Holy Struggle" movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, and his supporters of terrorism with the aim of seizing power.

On the same day, Galstanyan and 14 other people were detained in Armenia as part of a criminal case on an "attempt to seize power." On June 26, Galstanyan was arrested for two months.
