Khabarovsk authorities will reimburse farmers for land reclamation costs

In the Khabarovsk Territory, farmers will be compensated for land reclamation costs in 2026. This will be done at the expense of the regional budget.

According to IA AmurMedia with reference to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the selection of projects for state support next year is now being completed. Five initiatives were previously selected for a total amount exceeding 800 million rubles.

The final decision will be made before July 1. Then the documents will be sent for approval to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. If the applications are approved, it will be possible to restore and bring into agricultural circulation about 4 thousand hectares of unused land.

At the same time, current projects continue to be implemented in the region. So, in 2024, 222 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget for five land reclamation initiatives. This will improve 1.9 thousand hectares.

The program was launched in 2021. Since that time, four land reclamation projects have been completed, 2.7 thousand hectares of land have been returned to circulation. The initiators were compensated for 188 million rubles of expenses.

In particular, the construction of a drainage system on 5.8 thousand hectares in the village of Zoevka in the Lazo district has been completed. The implementation of the project began in 2021. It is calculated up to and including 2027. At the moment, 2.08 thousand hectares of restored farmland have been put into operation.

In mid-March, it was reported that the Khabarovsk Territory was still the leader in the Far East in terms of investment rates and volumes. Since 2015, 394 billion rubles have been invested in the regional economy and 14.6 thousand jobs have been created under the "Territory of Advanced Development" and "Free Port of Vladivostok" regimes. From 2016 to 2023, residents paid 12.5 billion rubles in taxes to the regional budget.
