- Zakharova accused international structures of superficially studying the crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
International human rights organizations do not consider in detail the crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) against civilians. This was announced on June 26 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"The Tribunal is doing what international human rights organizations would have to do if they remained faithful to their mission. It shows that all the crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that we are talking about have specific perpetrators, customers, and patrons," she said during a press conference at MIA Rossiya Segodnya, where the International Public Tribunal presented a report on the crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Dzerzhinsk.
Zakharova stressed that the truth about the crimes committed by Ukrainian militants in Donbas is a matter of justice and memory. In addition, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry pointed out that terror against civilians is a deliberate policy elevated to the status of the state.
"The testimonies of dozens of residents <... Mass killings, drone attacks on the homes of civilians, shootings of old people and children are being recorded," the diplomat said.
In addition, Zakharova stressed that the International Public Tribunal has become a platform for discussion and a forensic body that captures the truth that the West does not want to hear.
Russian investigative authorities regularly record the facts of attacks on civilians by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, the perpetrators and those involved in crimes receive sentences. So, on June 5, an APU grenade launcher was sentenced to 16 years in a penal colony for firing at civilians in the village of Pogrebki, Kursk region.
