Russian scientists have developed an improved way to grow potatoes at home. This was announced on June 26 by the staff of the St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"We have developed an approach that allows us to protect potato tubers from infections and grow them in an apartment, house or suburban area," Nikolai Semchuk, senior researcher at the Novgorod Research Institute of Agriculture, told RIA Novosti.
