- The political scientist stated that the position of the IAEA's opponents was strengthening due to the US attacks on Iran.

The US attack on Iran's nuclear facilities has strengthened the position of opponents of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This was stated by political analyst Dmitry Brije in an interview with Izvestia on June 26.
"Russia condemned the US actions as provocative and stressed their devastating impact on regional stability, while the IAEA expressed concern about the loss of control over a number of facilities," the expert said.
He noted that in response to the attack, Iran carried out strikes on American military bases in Qatar and other neighboring countries.
"This indicates a high risk of further escalation, especially against the background of the lack of dialogue and distrust between Washington and Tehran," the expert said.
Bridge also described the American military operation as one of the most significant in the last decade. He stressed that the strikes caused serious damage to key facilities in Natanz, Fordo and Isfahan, which created significant problems for the Iranian nuclear program.
"However, preliminary estimates by US military intelligence indicate that the damage may not be as critical. The program has been delayed by several months, not years. This is primarily due to the fact that Iran managed to evacuate some of the equipment and nuclear materials before the start of the strikes," he said.
In addition, the political scientist added, although the American attacks caused significant damage, they did not become a decisive impetus for Iran's nuclear program. The country retains scientific potential and opportunities for restoration. He also noted that the perception of the nuclear program as the only guarantor of the regime's survival in Iran will increase, which may lead to the radicalization of the state's foreign policy and internal security strategy.
On June 25, John Ratcliffe, director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), citing data from the country's Defense Intelligence Agency, said that Iran's nuclear program had been "seriously damaged" by recent U.S. strikes. According to him, it will take years to restore it.
At the same time, before that, on June 24, CNN reported that the US strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities had not caused significant damage to the main components of Iran's nuclear program and had only suspended work on it for several months, contrary to the statements of the American government.
