In St. Petersburg, for the first time, lighting was carried out on Osokina Street. Workers installed 12 architectural pillars with 24 LED lights and laid more than 500 m of cable in the ground, the Smolny press service reported on Thursday, June 26.

"Today, Kronstadt is going through a period of intensive development. On behalf of the President, we are implementing a large—scale project "Island of Forts", creating a modern road infrastructure," said Governor Alexander Beglov.

According to the 78 TV channel, in the current 2025, the installation of outdoor lighting in a residential area located within the boundaries of Kronshtadtskoye Highway, Gidrostroiteley Street, Tsitadelskoye Highway and Litke Street will be completed. There are also plans to reconstruct the lighting on Posadskaya, Zosimova, Makarovskaya and Martynova streets.

Earlier in June, it was reported that St. Petersburg plans to strengthen regulation of street trade in some areas. The measures will take effect on July 1.
