- Liksutov spoke about the program of the Park of Light festival at the Northern River Railway Station in Moscow.

On July 4 and 5, the Northern River Station will host the Park of Light festival for the first time, said Maxim Liksutov, Moscow's Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry. Visitors will be shown light and multimedia evening shows on the facade of the station, theatrical water performances and much more.
"After a large—scale reconstruction, the Northern River Station has become the center of attraction for residents and guests of the capital," Liksutov said. He recalled the task of the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, to develop Moscow's transport platforms as cultural facilities.
The program of events will play up the image of Moscow as a "port of five seas": the White, Baltic, Black, Azov and Caspian, with which the capital is connected through a canal system. During the festival, the park near the river station will become a virtual port, divided into five zones. The events in each of them will tell about the sea through history, art, technology, nature and emotions.
The zones will be divided by thematic light paths and figures symbolizing rivers and canals. This will create a visual link between the zones and highlight the unique network of waterways connecting Moscow with the seas, the organizers noted. The entire park space, as well as the embankment and the facade of the river station will become a single light installation.
The organizers have prepared contests, master classes, and lectures on the history of Moscow and water transport for visitors. In the evening, light performances and a large-scale theatrical water show will be shown on the facade of the Northern River Station and on the embankment.
Admission to the festival will be free, no pre-registration is required.
