95% voted against Ukraine's admission to the EU in a referendum in Hungary.%

At a referendum in Hungary, 95% of citizens opposed Ukraine's admission to the European Union (EU). This was announced to journalists on June 26 by Prime Minister Viktor Orban before the start of the EU summit in Brussels.
"Of those who stated that they did not support Ukraine's accession to the European Union, 95% voted for it, and 5% voted for Ukraine. That's the point," Orban said.
So, more than 2 million citizens spoke out against it. According to Orban, at a meeting with representatives of the European Union, he will inform that the republic does not support Ukraine's accession to the community.
On June 24, Orban said that Ukraine should not be accepted into the EU and NATO, since this decision would lead to a war between Western countries and Russia. He clarified that it is in Hungary's security interests not to become part of a common integration structure with Ukraine.
