Belousov: prolonging the fighting in Ukraine threatens the stability of the entire EU

The prolongation of hostilities in Ukraine threatens the stability of the European Union (EU). This was announced on June 26 by Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov at a meeting of defense ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states.
"Attempts to prolong military operations by supplying Ukraine with weapons and mercenaries increase the threat of destabilization, including in Europe itself," he said.
According to Belousov, Kiev is betting on terrorist acts because it is aware of the inevitability of its defeat.
At the same time, the Russian side has repeatedly indicated its readiness for a peaceful settlement of the conflict, the minister stressed.
On June 16, political scientist Ivan Mezyuho announced the EU's strategic course to escalate the conflict in Ukraine. He noted that the European Union, together with the United Kingdom, allocates more funds to help Kiev than their financial situation allows.
