Kim Jong-un attends the opening ceremony of the Wonsan-Kalma tourist zone in the DPRK

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un attended the opening of the Wonsan-Kalma coastal tourist zone. This was reported on June 26 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

"On June 24, a solemn ceremony was held to complete the construction of the coastal tourist zone of Wonsan-Kalma. <...> Respected Comrade Kim Jong—un attended the ceremony," the publication says.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the DPRK and other employees of the Russian diplomatic mission were also invited to the ceremony as special guests.

It is noted that the Wonsan-Kalma tourist zone has become a world-class facility.

On June 20, it became known about the construction of the first automobile bridge between the Russian Federation and the DPRK in two years. It is noted that the total length of the bridge crossing, including access roads, will be 4.7 km, while the length of the bridge itself will be 1 km, of which 424 m will belong to Russia and 581 m to the DPRK.
