Russian army soldiers are using the 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system (ACS) to perform combat missions in the area of a special military operation in Ukraine. The corresponding footage is published by Izvestia on June 26.

"Despite the fact that the Gvozdika is a self-propelled artillery installation, this particular vehicle operates from a closed firing position. It is half—dug into the ground, covered with several layers of camouflage nets and covered with a special anti-drone net," said Izvestia correspondent Egor Kildibekov.

According to him, only such methods provide effective protection against enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The commander of the self-propelled battery with the call sign Fandorin said that the combat vehicle is capable of firing at a distance of up to 15 km deep into enemy positions. With the help of it, military personnel can hit enemy manpower and equipment. You can shoot in any weather and regardless of the time of day.

"Very simple, easy to maintain. Plus, it's also mobile. If necessary, he can roll out to any area, quickly orient himself, work out and go into hiding," the fighter said.

On June 25, the Russian army destroyed an oil depot that supplied fuel to units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Donbass. On the same day, motorized rifle units of the Southern Group of Forces destroyed a US-made M119 artillery piece and an ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
