The mediator suggested that US President Donald Trump and media conglomerate Paramount Global increase the amount to settle the lawsuit over the interview with CBS News channel "60 Minutes" with former Vice President Kamala Harris to $20 million. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on June 25, citing sources.

"The offer will include a donation of $17 million to the Trump Presidential Foundation or Museum. <...> It will also include millions more dollars in legal fees and social advertising on Paramount—owned networks to combat anti-Semitism," the publication revealed.

Initially, the amount of the lawsuit settlement was half as much and amounted to $ 10 million.

Earlier, on April 14, Trump accused the American television channel CBS News of manipulating information and said he was suing the 60 Minutes program so that the media could be deprived of broadcasting rights in the future. According to the US president, the journalists of the TV channel "did everything possible to illegally elect" Kamala Harris.
