Guards Corporal Fattakhov suppressed the machine-gun crew of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Guard Corporal Rustam Fattakhov, as part of an assault group of the Russian Army, participated in the capture of a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) when the group came under machine-gun fire from the enemy. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Thursday, June 26, told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

Fattakhov reacted quickly to the threat and used an RPG-7 anti-tank grenade launcher. One well-aimed shot was enough to completely eliminate the machine-gun crew of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After that, the Russian attack aircraft continued to carry out their task, and as a result, the enemy's stronghold was taken.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the outstanding courage and bravery of Corporal Sergei Korolev, who commanded the artillery gun crew and was tasked with firing at the transmitted coordinates.

During the task, the crew was attacked by enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Korolev immediately opened fire on the drones with small arms. Two drones were destroyed. The massive attack was repelled, but the howitzer was damaged in the process. The Russian military quickly extinguished the fire and took measures to disguise the gun in order to keep it in a combat-ready state and repair it later.

To do this, the drones had to break through the electronic jamming zones.

Earlier, on June 24, the Russian Defense Ministry noted that Corporal Damir Akhmetzhanov, as part of an artillery battery, was organizing communications between the command posts of the Russian units when tank fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine damaged the wired communication line with the command post of the senior officer of the battery.
