- Six people were detained in Serbia for preparing to overthrow the constitutional order.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Serbia, together with other law enforcement agencies, detained six people suspected of preparing to overthrow the constitutional order in the state. This was reported on June 25 by the N1 TV channel, citing a statement from the agency.
"Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs <..."six people were arrested in several places on the territory of Serbia due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they had committed a criminal offense, which consisted in preparing an act directed against the constitutional order and security of Serbia," the publication says.
It is specified that the detainees earlier, on June 21, held a meeting at a hotel in the city of Kraljevo, during which they discussed plans for a violent change of power in the country, as well as attacks on government officials, law enforcement officers and the editorial offices of some media outlets using firearms.
According to available information, the suspects are between 47 and 57 years old. A pistol with an erased serial number was found in the car of one of them, with seven cartridges loaded in the clip. A factory box with 25 rounds of ammunition was also found there, for which the suspect did not have the appropriate license.
"Search operations are currently underway in several locations in Serbia, and in cooperation with the competent authorities, the police continue to work on this case," the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
Anti-government opposition protests began in Serbia after the events of November 2024, when 15 people died as a result of the collapse of the canopy of the railway station in Novi Sad. Shortly after the tragedy, Prime Minister Milos Vucevic and several other politicians resigned.
On March 8, 2025, former Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Vulin said that the West was using the protests of students and opposition figures in Serbia to further clash Belgrade with Moscow. He also announced that Brussels was preparing a project to overthrow President Alexander Vucic.
