Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva defeated Denmark's Clara Towson on June 25 and reached the quarterfinals in the second round of the tournament in Bad Homburg. The match lasted 1 hour and 50 minutes and ended with the score 3:6, 6:3 and 6:1.
"World number seven Andreeva made four aces in the game, made three double faults and made four break points out of six. Towson's 23rd racket has three aces, two double faults and one converted break point after a single attempt," adds Sport-Express.
It is reported that with this victory Andreeva broke a series of two defeats in a row. In the quarterfinals, the Russian will face the representative of the Czech Republic, Linda Noskova.
Earlier, on June 22, Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev was defeated in the final of the ATP 500 tournament held in Halle, Germany. His opponent was the representative of Kazakhstan Alexander Bublik, the 45th racket of the world.
