The "Festival of India in Moscow" will be held on Manezhnaya Square from July 5 to 13, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina. Residents and guests of the capital will be able to learn more about the culture and traditions of this friendly state.

"As part of the cultural program, hundreds of events will be prepared for visitors: colorful performances, dance workshops, Hindi lessons and much more. Every day, in the morning and in the evening, performances by Russian and Indian bands will take place," Sergunina said.

The playground will be decorated with hundreds of exotic plants, and there will also be a chalet with national treats and souvenirs. An exhibition of art objects from several regions of India will also open there.

During the festival, foreign craftsmen organize creative activities, for example, playing the tabla double drum. Those who wish will also be introduced to Kathak and kuchipudi dances and will learn the basics of spoken Hindi.

The event is organized by the Moscow Government in cooperation with the Indian Embassy in the Russian capital.

According to Sergunina, Moscow cooperates with India in many key areas, from trade and creative industries to tourism. "India ranks second in terms of tourist flow to the Russian capital among non-CIS countries. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, about 18,000 Indian travelers visited our city, 1.5 times more than a year earlier," the deputy mayor noted.
