A criminal case has been opened into the fall of a tree on a child in a Kaliningrad kindergarten. This was reported on June 25 in the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kaliningrad region.

"Upon injury to a kindergarten pupil as a result of a falling tree, a criminal case has been opened on negligence (Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to the investigation, officials of the institution ignored the daily emergency forecast of increased wind in the region and took the children for a walk. As a result, a maple tree fell on a six-year-old child. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries, currently his life is not in danger.

The scene of the incident was examined, and the necessary documentation was also seized. At the moment, investigators are interrogating witnesses, identifying the person who will later be brought to justice as an accused person. The investigation is ongoing.

Earlier, on June 5, in Samara, a child was injured as a result of a tree falling on a baby carriage. A criminal case has been opened on this fact under Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence").
