- The former Minister of Defense of Moldova noted the need for neutrality for the republic
Moldova needs to be a neutral country. This opinion was shared with Izvestia on June 25 by the former Minister of Defense of the country, divisional General Viktor Gaichuk.
According to him, the country's Foreign Ministry is probably waiting for the agency's employees to get to the Moldovan intelligence agents who were detained on June 25 in Moscow. According to him, this is not the first time such an incident has occurred, but what happened is an unpleasant fact.
"This is unpleasant and not good, especially since Moldova is a neutral state," the ex-minister said.
He stressed that the republic should not be a part of any conflicts, it should only be on the side of the UN and the world.
On June 19, the leader of the Party of Socialists and former Moldovan President Igor Dodon said that Moldova had lost its neutrality under the current government. According to him, now in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the country is playing a fairly significant role on the side of Kiev, and this is absolutely wrong.
