- The Moldovan MP denied the statements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic about the danger of visiting Russia

The statements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova about the danger of visiting Russia do not correspond to reality, there is no infringement of the rights of citizens of the republic in the Russian Federation. Vadim Fotescu, a member of parliament from the Pobeda bloc, told Izvestia about this on June 25.
"I want to dispel this fake, which is being spread by our Foreign Ministry, which recommends not visiting Russia due to the fact that there are some mythical detentions, some infringement of the rights of our citizens. It's all lies," Fotescu said.
According to him, detentions at the border and humiliating searches in violation of human rights are taking place in Moldova itself against those who visit Russia. In addition, the deputy noted that Russia has the largest Moldovan diaspora — 500 thousand people.
"This is obvious, we are following the scenario of Ukraine, but we are following the accelerated version. Unfortunately, given our size and Ukraine's experience, we are being guided through an accelerated program," he stressed.
In addition, Fotescu added that the country's Ministry of Education pursues a policy of distorting history and rehabilitating fascism.
"The current government only knows how to destroy, not build," he concluded.
Earlier in the day, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, ironically commented on the warning of the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the undesirability of trips to Russia, issued after Moldovan intelligence agents were detained in Moscow. She added that the Russian Federation always welcomes the arrival of respectable Moldovans.
Earlier that day, two Moldovan intelligence agents were detained in Moscow, who had assignments directed against Russia's security. It was noted that criminal cases have been initiated against Moldovan citizens, they face up to eight years in prison.
