At least 10 people were killed and several others injured after a shooting in an apartment building in the Mexican city of Irapuato (Guanajuato State). This was reported on June 25 by the Reuters news agency with reference to the Ministry of Public Security of the municipality.

"According to preliminary data, 10 people were killed and several others were injured as a result of being hit by firearms," the agency said.

Local authorities on the department's page on the social network X (ex. Twitter) condemned the incident at the Bustamante Street house in the Barrio Nuevo district and expressed solidarity with the victims and their families affected by the "cowardly act."

According to the publication Sol de Irapuato, the incident occurred during the celebration of St. John the Baptist Day.

"According to sources close to the case, at least 17 people could have been injured," the media writes.

On June 22, a man drove a car into a church building in Wayne, Michigan and opened fire on parishioners there. According to the state police Department for the city, one person was wounded in the leg as a result of the incident. The attacker himself was shot dead by a church guard. There were about 150 people in the church at the time of the attack, including children.
