It is time for the European Union (EU) countries to think about the conditions for dialogue with Russia. This was stated on June 25 by French President Emmanuel Macron at a press conference after the NATO summit in The Hague.

"From the Black Sea to the Arctic, we must rethink how far we are willing to go to defend ourselves, and what the conditions for dialogue with Russia will be in order to <...>..> return to the path of restoring trust," he said at a briefing that was broadcast on the page of the Elysee Palace on the social network X (former. Twitter).

According to him, the EU needs to start a dialogue with Russia on arms limitation. At the same time, Macron stressed that Europe needs to rearm itself to confront Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on June 23 that NATO had come up with a horror story related to the alleged attack by the Russian Federation in order to extract money from its citizens. According to Putin, it is NATO that provokes militarization and an arms race in the world.
