The economist talked about ways to increase the amount of pension points.

The lack of pension points can be compensated through the voluntary insurance mechanism, for which citizens have the right to conclude an agreement with the Pension Fund (PF) and make additional payments, which are converted into points. Nadezhda Kapustina, Professor of the Department of Economic Security and Risk Management at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, told about this on Wednesday, June 25.
The economist warned that in Russia there are certain restrictions on the minimum and maximum annual contributions. The maximum allowed length of service is 7.5 years, with the exception of self-employed citizens who can buy 15 years of experience.
"You also can't buy experience in three years at once. If you don't have enough for three years, you will pay for three years. In 2025, the minimum annual insurance contribution is 0.98 pension points (59,241 rubles), and the maximum contribution is 7.81 points (473,932 rubles)," the expert quotes. Lenta.Ru .
The economist stressed that postponing retirement for a period of one to five years activates premium coefficients, which can increase the basic part by 5-40%, and the insurance part by 7-70%.
"Every additional year of work after reaching retirement age brings a significant increase to future payments. At the same time, work breaks also inevitably affect retirement prospects," she recalled.
The expert clarified that the state compensates for some socially significant periods: caring for a child under one and a half years old — up to six years in total, caring for a disabled person of group I or an elderly person over 80 years old, as well as military service. At the same time, university studies are not included in the insurance record, which creates certain risks for future retirees with a long period of education.
On June 12, Sergey Gavrilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Property, Land and Property Relations, told RT how Russians can find out the amount of their future payments. According to the parliamentarian, first of all, a person should be guided by official data, which are fixed in federal laws. 360.ru .
Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Social Policy, recalled on May 19 that from August 1, individual pension coefficient (IPC) points that they earned over the past year will be added to the pensions of working pensioners. According to her, it will be possible to get up to three IPK points.
