The body of a girl who drowned two days ago was found in the Ussuri River in Primorye.

In the city of Lesozavodsk, Primorsky Krai, the body of a 13-year-old girl who drowned two days ago was found in the Ussuri River. The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Investigative Committee reported this in their Telegram channels on Wednesday, June 25.

"Today, the body of a drowned child was discovered after extensive search activities," the Investigative Committee said in a statement.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the body of a 13-year-old girl was found 150 m downstream from the place where the child was swimming.

The tragedy occurred last Monday, June 23, on the Ussuri River, IA PrimaMedia clarifies. According to preliminary data, the child was swimming without adult supervision. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Causing death by negligence."
