- Ushakov pointed out that there are difficult issues for negotiations between Russia and the United States.

There are many serious and multi-layered topics within the framework of consultations on eliminating irritants in bilateral relations between Moscow and Washington. This was announced to journalists on June 25 by Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
"There are a lot of extremely difficult issues there: issues of relieving tension around the diplomatic mission — they also relate to the return of its seized facilities to the Russian Federation, diplomatic facilities, dachas and consulate buildings, and so on," Ushakov said.
According to him, the third round, which was scheduled for June 17, was postponed at the initiative of the American side and the possibility of continuing the consultation process is currently being discussed.
Ushakov added that despite some progress, the United States is not yet ready to abandon the obstacles created around the work of Russian diplomatic missions, but expressed hope for continued dialogue.
On June 22, Ushakov said that the pause in negotiations between Russia and the United States on issues related to diplomatic property and the so-called "diplomatic guards" arose due to disagreements over the venue of the meeting. He also noted that despite the pause, the dialogue between Moscow and Washington continues.
On June 9, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov pointed to the normalization of Russian-American relations. According to him, now the bilateral contact of the states is in a more correct position than it was during the administration of former President of the United States Joe Biden.
