Currently, more than 1.7 million users are registered in carsharing services in Moscow, they make 150 thousand trips daily. This is 12% more than in June last year, the Moscow Department of Transport announced on June 25 in its Telegram channel.

According to Maxim Liksutov, Moscow's deputy mayor for Transport, since the beginning of the year, carsharing in the capital has been rented 26 million times, which is 13% more than in the same period last year.

One carsharing car is rented in turn by five to six people per day. This means that more than 100,000 private cars do not travel to the roads of the capital every day, which makes traffic in the city freer, Liksutov said.

Deptrans indicated that carsharing is more convenient than a personal car, since users do not have to pay for maintenance and parking, they do not have to return for the car after arrival, and renting also provides an opportunity to test new car models.

Earlier in the day, analysts at Delimobil told Izvestia that by the end of January –May 2025, carsharing accidents decreased by 19% compared to the same period last year. Accidents have decreased against the background of an increase in the number and duration of trips, they said.
