- The political scientist stated that the United States imposed strict conditions on Iran for a nuclear agreement.

The United States imposes strict conditions on Iran for a nuclear agreement, which are mostly beneficial only to the American side. This could create serious problems for Tehran, Malek Dudakov, an American political scientist, said in an interview with Izvestia on June 25.
The expert noted that at the moment it is premature to discuss the likelihood of reaching an agreement. The American authorities are confident that their position in the negotiations has strengthened after the recent attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. However, Iran claims that the damage was minimal and all damaged installations can be repaired quickly.
"The administration of [US President Donald] It is important for Trump to show that they have achieved at least some success in the end, so they will now, of course, pedal the topic with regular negotiations, arrange these rounds of discussions with the Iranian side, but whether they will be able to come to something is still an open question," Dudakov stressed.
As for the conflict between the Trump team and the American intelligence services, the political scientist added that the current situation could lead to new purges in the intelligence community. He explained that the head of the White House strives to ensure that the special services are loyal and do not contradict his policies.
"Those who disagree with Trump may resign soon. Therefore, Trump, I think, did not like them (intelligence. — Ed.) approach, and he will now try in every possible way to ensure that the special services are loyal to him and do not contradict him in their conclusions," Dudakov concluded.
President Trump's Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, said on June 24 that he was confident that the United States would conclude a comprehensive peace agreement with Iran. He added that the White House would not allow Tehran to enrich uranium under the terms of a potential agreement.
