Galina Kozhina, First Deputy CEO of Rossiya Segodnya, has died.


Galina Kozhina, First Deputy General Director of the Rossiya Segodnya media group, died after a serious and prolonged illness. This was reported by RIA Novosti on June 25.
"What happened is a huge loss for all of us. We grieve together with the family and friends of Galina Ivanovna Kozhina, we express our sincere condolences," the agency said.
In 1982, Galina Kozhina graduated from the Moscow Polygraphic Institute, worked in the publishing house and printing house of the newspaper Pravda. In 1987, she became a senior accountant in the management department of the Novosti Press Agency (APN).
In the Rossiya Segodnya media group, she held the positions of Senior accountant, Senior economist, Deputy Chief Accountant, Chief Accountant, Finance Director and First Deputy General Director. Kozhina solved financial and economic problems, carried out information projects that strengthened the positive image of Russia in the international arena.
Galina Kozhina was awarded the Order of Honor, the Medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree, the Certificate of Honor from the President of Russia, the Badge of Rossotrudnichestvo For Friendship and Cooperation, the gratitude of the Ministry of Finance of Russia, and the title Honored Economist of Russia.
