The Lada Yarus name was registered in Russia

The application for registration of the new Lada Yarus trademark appeared in the open database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), Izvestia noted. On June 25, the trademark passed the state registration.

The application was submitted on February 17, but the copyright holder is not indicated in it in accordance with the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation (No. 1209 dated September 2, 2024). However, the contact information for the application contains an address from Tolyatti near the AVTOVAZ scientific and technical center.

It is possible that a promising Lada model will receive the Yarus name in the future. So, under the Aura name, patented in 2021, a Vesta-based business sedan began to be produced in 2024. And under the name Xcite, which was issued back in 2015, nine years later, the production of crossovers began in St. Petersburg.

In February, applications for registration of new trademarks Lada Parus, Lada Ariva and Lada Tigris appeared in the FIPS database. And at the end of last year, it was reported that AvtoVAZ had patented two new trademarks, Retiva and Altra.

The new Lada Azimut crossover was presented at the SPIEF on June 18. The name for the model was chosen based on an open competition among an almost 50,000-strong team of AvtoVAZ employees, "it reflects the all-road concept of the crossover and is associated with constant movement and new places and discoveries," the company said.
