The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on Wednesday, June 25, ironically commented on the warning of the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the undesirability of trips to Russia, issued after Moldovan intelligence agents were detained in Moscow.

The Moldovan ministry published the corresponding warning on the same day in its Telegram channel.

"Apparently, this is how they warn the spies that they don't need to go to Russia anymore," Zakharova wrote on the Telegram channel.

She added that the Russian Federation always welcomes the arrival of respectable Moldovans.

Earlier that day, two Moldovan intelligence agents were detained in Moscow, who had assignments directed against Russia's security. It was noted that criminal cases have been initiated against Moldovan citizens, they face up to eight years in prison.
