Medvedev announced the transformation of the European Union into a military bloc

The European Union (EU) is being modified into a military bloc that could become a competitor to NATO. This was announced on June 25 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.

"Slowly but surely, the European Union is turning into a self-sufficient military bloc, which should gradually begin to compete with NATO... The leaders of the EU countries are proclaiming their own defense strategy, declaring entry into the "era of rearmament," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to Medvedev, the European Union pursues a separate goal, which is to arm the Kiev regime. In addition, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council stressed that Ukraine's possible accession to the EU is a danger to Russia.
