The gynecologist told about the first signs of menopause

During menopause, a woman needs to change her usual lifestyle. She definitely needs to include physical training for the pelvic floor muscles, which help improve blood circulation and maintain the tone of the vaginal muscles, as well as the muscles supporting the bladder and urethra. Margarita Bogdanova, a gynecologist at the OMNIUS clinic, told Izvestia about this on June 26.
"Menopause is a physiological condition of a woman when ovarian function fades. The level of sex hormones decreases, namely estrogen, testosterone, progesterone. These are the three main female hormones. This usually happens at the age of 50-55," the gynecologist explained.
The first signs of menopause are changing periods. In addition to changes in the menstrual cycle, signs of menopause may include changes in mood, emotional background, sleep, and ability to work. Often, a woman begins to experience chronic fatigue, and she may experience depressive states.
Due to a decrease in the level of female sex hormones, changes occur in the body, the skin becomes duller, drier, wrinkles and sagging skin appear. Changes also occur in the genitourinary system, a woman notices dryness in the intimate area, discomfort and, possibly, pain during sexual intercourse. Urinary incontinence is often found during various physical activities.
"In gynecology, there are many techniques that help to cope with age-related changes during menopause. The hardware technique "CO2 laser" solves the problems of urinary incontinence, dryness, and vaginal wall prolapse. Or an EVA radio wave device that allows you to work both outside the genitals and inside the vagina without traumatic consequences for patients," Bogdanova said.
Also, according to her, fillers based on hyaluronic acid can reduce vaginal dryness, increase the elasticity and tone of a woman's internal genitals, and remove discomfort during intercourse.
The doctor explained that during menopause, a woman needs to change her usual lifestyle. She is advised to rest more, take vitamins and healthy polyunsaturated fatty acids such as omega-3.
Bogdanova warned: if a woman is faced with complications, hot flashes, changes in blood pressure, headaches, changes in the excretory system, then you need to consult a doctor.
"Hot flashes are associated with the fact that the functioning of blood vessels changes, and if the first attack occurs, do not be afraid. Now there is a large selection of various medicines that are of plant origin, these are phytoestrogens. At the same time, the gynecologist will prescribe, if necessary, menopausal hormone therapy, which is cumulative in nature and will begin to work only 1-2 months after the start of admission," the specialist noted.
Earlier, on April 30, Maxim Voynov, a gynecologist and surgeon at the SM Clinic Center for Reproductive Health, told Izvestia about the dangerous symptoms of ovarian cysts. According to him, not all cysts are dangerous. He attributed endometrioid cysts to pathological cysts associated with endometriosis, a condition in which cells similar to those of the uterine mucosa grow outside of it.
