Western media are committing professional crimes when covering events in Iran, without mentioning that attacks on nuclear facilities are taking place for the first time in history. This was announced on June 25 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"It seems to me that the Western media are committing or have committed a monstrous professional crime, diverting the conversation away from the main thing: from the fact that this is probably the first time in their lives that missile strikes are being carried out directly at the locations, storage, basing, and development of nuclear materials under a peaceful program under the supervision of the IAEA," she said in a statement. on the air of the radio station "Sputnik".

According to Zakharova, nuclear weapons have already been used in the world to attack peaceful cities, but attacks on nuclear development centers have not been carried out before. She stressed that Iran's accusations of developing nuclear weapons have not been confirmed.

On June 21, US President Donald Trump announced a successful attack on three Iranian nuclear facilities. Later, he threatened Tehran with new strikes if peace was not achieved in the Iranian-Israeli conflict after that.

On June 22, the Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. Later, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities violated the Charter of the United Nations (UN) and resolutions of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
