Illegal tobacco products worth 30 million rubles were found in the Orenburg region.

Samara customs officers found about 200 thousand packs of cigarettes without excise labeling worth 30 million rubles in a commercial warehouse in the city of Buzuluk, Orenburg region. This was announced on June 25 by the press service of the Federal Customs Service (FCS).

It is noted that during the inspection measures, 87 thousand packs of cigarettes produced in Serbia, Italy, Germany, as well as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Azerbaijan and Switzerland were found in the warehouse, which did not have documentation for the import and turnover of goods.

In addition, more than 11,000 packs of tobacco products from Belarus and more than 96,000 packs of Russian-made cigarettes were identified. It is specified that the sale was carried out through an online store in the Telegram channel.

The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.

On June 18, a large shipment of illegal cigarettes worth 10.8 million rubles was seized in Kabardino-Balkaria. 80,000 packs of unlabeled cigarettes were found in the back of the car. The investigators opened a criminal case under clause "b" of Part 6 of Article 171.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (production, purchase, storage, transportation or sale of goods without labeling).
