Kama has assembled 26 Atom test vehicles

The development team of the Russian electric car Atom assembled a batch of 26 "verification" vehicles, which was required to confirm readiness for mass production and configure all production processes. This is stated in the message of the Kama company, which was received by Izvestia on June 25.
The cars were handed over to internal development teams. A range of work will be carried out on these machines, including system verification and calibration, comprehensive functional and certification tests, as well as design and process validation.
The company was also told that bench tests of components and systems are continuing in parallel. At the next stage, the developer will proceed to detailed validation and testing of the entire production process chain in an industrial mode, as well as confirmation of the design parameters of the equipment (cycle time, repeatability and reproducibility of processes).
Atom production is scheduled to start this year, and electric cars will be assembled at the Moskvich plant. In mid-June, Kama reported on the completion of equipping the production site in Moscow, where the assembly line will be carried out. The body welding and painting zones, as well as the calibration, testing and quality control zone, are ready to launch mass production.
On May 28, Philip Dyakov, head of Atom's testing department, told Izvestia that Kama was considering the possibility of creating a hybrid version of the Atom car, as well as a hydrogen-powered model.
