Sobyanin spoke about the modernization of roads in two districts of Moscow
In the Rostokino and Alekseevsky districts in the northeast of Moscow, old roads are being upgraded and new ones will be created, said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin. The work is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
"These areas of the northeast are iconic. Important transport arteries pass through them: Prospekt Mira, Yaroslavl railway line, MCC, Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line," wrote the mayor of Moscow in the Telegram channel. He stressed that nearby there are "large-scale natural and cultural spaces that thousands of people visit every day."
In particular, specialists are creating an additional link between the local road network and Mira Avenue. 1st Rizhsky Lane, Novoalekseevskaya and Staroalekseevskaya streets will be reconstructed. The Projected passage No. 128 will also be laid, which will connect Yaroslavskaya and 3rd Mytischinskaya streets.
Comfortable and safe routes for pedestrians are also organized in the districts. As a result, it will be easier to get to Rostokino station on the MCC, Sobyanin noted. In addition, traffic lights and sidewalks will be installed on Staroalekseevskaya, Malomoskovskaya and Rizhsky Proezd streets.
